Quirk Theatre’s mission is to showcase diverse perspectives and talent through new and exciting theatrical works. We believe in telling stories that are personally relatable yet wacky. We strive to prioritize content with completely unique and entertaining theatrical experiences.
Quirk: It’s what happens when theatre is weird enough to be welcoming.
Quirk honors all viewpoints and uplift voices of those who are not often heard. We do this through casting diverse story-tellers and staffing our artistic teams with people of all perspectives. We value the people we bring to our productions by fostering physical and emotional safety and fairness for all who work with us. We pledge to uphold our codes of conduct and the interpersonal culture we cultivate. We do our best to create financial fairness for all of our talent. We aim to create a space where performers, technicians, and artistic leaders can be artistically vulnerable and safe in every step of the creative process.
Quirk strives for artistic quirkiness at all turns. We tell unique, relatable and approachable yet odd stories. We promote an environment of weirdness and subversive dark humor and prioritize fun for performers and audience alike. Entry-level weirdos are welcome!
In 2023, 4 friends got together and started a theatre company.
It's a tale as old as time, a bunch of friends get together and realize that they aren't seeing the kinds of theatre they prefer. There are plenty of amazing companies here in Denver that do very important and serious productions, but that isn't what Quirk! is about. We prefer the silly stuff, the weird stuff, the stuff that requires a splash zone and ponchos. So out of that desire, Quirk! Theatre was born.
Every member of our board of directors is a thought leader who has made significant contributions to our society.
Each one brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.
